“RIBS  R&B Music Festival” ON THE BEAUTIFUL RIVERFRONT Hart Plaza IN DOWNTOWN DETROIT”         
August 9, 10, 11, 2013

“THE SOUL OF THE CITY”
There will be lots of great food in Downtown Detroit with barbeque ribbers from across the United States.  Detroit will have the best barbeque this side of the Mississippi August 9, 10, 11, 2013.  On Sunday, August 11th, chefs from around the country will smoke, grill and season ribs to perfection during the tasty Rib Cook Off.  This year, 15 grillers will compete for the Best Ribs  and Best Sauce  title. Each winner will receive a 3ft trophy and bragging rights.  Detroit’s most anticipated event of the summer. The 18th Annual Ribs “N” Soul Festival  has a new name Rib’s R&B Music Festival will host thousands of rib lovers who will eat, drink and shop while enjoying the sounds of Platinum and Grammy award winning groups as well nationally and local recording artist 2013 line up .  On Sunday 10:00 am El bethel Church with Pastor Glass will present a full Sunday service at Hart Plaza followed by our  Gospel Showcase starring “Gospel divas” will take place noon until 3:00pm R&B and Jazz from 4:00pm til midnight R&B and Jazz performances by international, national, and Local acts all weekend long.  The hottest event of the Summer!!! This premier summer attraction will bring people from as far as Atlanta, GA Jacksonville, FL, the Carolina’s, Chicago, IL Indianapolis, and our own backyard the State of Michigan.  The Ribs R&B Music Festival is more than just great food will also feature a Health Expo, Art on the River, an African village, a Business Expo, and Kid’s Zone. In addition, there are two entertainment areas  featuring national, regional and local talent.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will feature our hottest R&B AND NEO SOUL, NEO JAZZ Entertainment. On Sunday morning , you can enjoy a full Church service starting at 10:00am followed by our gospel fest. noon until 3:00pm and eat great food all at the same time.  There will also be many regional and local artists performing throughout the weekend. Preferred seating and VIP tickets are available for both Saturday and Sunday shows. “We work hard to provide our guests with exceptional entertainment and an experience for the entire family,” said Johnnie Washington, the event Producer. “We expect this year’s festival to be one of the hottest event of the summer.” This event is expected to draw over 250,000 people over our 3 day weekend.

Ribs R&B Music Festival “the soul of the city” has place Detroit Michigan in the national spot light receiving national coverage as a Premier event in the United States also, getting coverage in Jet Magazine a national and international publication.
